Week 8: Ewert (Banking & School Improvement Survey)
NOTE: ALL 6-12 grade students need to complete a SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT SURVEY within the next two weeks. Michelle Roe has Senior Advisory scheduled to complete the survey this week. Please take your class to her classroom, Room 153, to complete the survey on the following days. You can stay the complete period and also work on Budget Challenge once the survey is complete. A link will be listed on the overhead in her classroom. You can also send students a link through LANSCHOOL using the link above.

Tuesday
- School Improvement Survey (see schedule above)
- H & R Budget Challenge
- Students check school GMAIL to see if they got any messages from H & R Block Budget Challenge
- Students login to & H & R Block Budget Challenge to schedule online payments
- If needed, students update their Google Drive Budget Work Sheet
- Students complete any quizzes available to them in Budget Challenge
- FDIC Money Smart "Bank On It" Lesson
- Access the FDIC Money Smart Curriculum online (click HERE)
- If the link above does not work, I've downloaded the curriculum to the shared drive. The teacher needs to project the lesson on the overhead for students.
- Go to BHSStaff folder on Shared Drive
- Go to 12th Grade Advisory folder on Shared Drive
- Look for folder FDIC Money Smart; open folder and click on the file fdic_moneySmart.exe
- Enter teacher information to start tutorial
- Give each student a copy of the HANDOUT to complete as the class progresses through the tutorial, watching from the teacher's projected screen (this handout is for Bank on It: Part I only)

- You will most likely NOT complete this in one day; it can be finished later in the week

- Finish FDIC Money Smart: Bank On It Part I tutorial from Monday/Tuesday
- Students update accounts at H & R Block Budget Challenge web site
- Finished early? Read or do homework
Friday
- Play Trivia Crack in teams
- Suggestions for play ... (this is a game I created in Quia)
- Break class into groups of 3-4 students
- Give teams a white board or the letters A, B, C, D on pieces of paper
(the quiz is multiple choice) - Display the question on the overhead
- Have all teams answer; teacher enters the most popular answer
- The team with the most correct points at the end wins
- I always save the last question for Final Jeopardy; students can wager their score on the last question
- Team with the most points leaves 1-minute early for lunch
