Environment

ENVIRONMENT is the sum of your surroundings.   This includes your family, neighborhood, school, job, and life experiences.   Your environment includes all the places you go to in a given day and the physical conditions in which you live.  

Physical Environment:  Living in a safe environment is likely to lead to enjoyment in good physical health.   Areas with high crime rate may lead to increased stress and areas with high levels of pollution may lead increased health problems.

Social Environment: Knowing your social environment can assist you with a developing a supportive network of family, friends, and other role models.   PEERS are people of the same age who share similar interests.   This includes friends and classmates.   Loyal and supportive friends who care about their health can have a positive effect on your own health.  

Culture: CULTURE refers to the collective beliefs, customs, and behaviors of a group.   This may be an ethnic group, community, nation, or specific part of the world.
