Offline activity
This type of activity can describe an assignment the students will do outside of Moodle (ie a worksheet, compose a report, etc.). You would use this if you wanted to be able to enter grades manually into Moodle for a particular assignment. It serves as a placeholder in the Moodle gradebook.
